Sponsored Mentorship Program
Immigration Law's sponsored mentorship is a pilot program that will match experienced leaders within the Immigration Law Section with new lawyers who are not currently members of the CBA to provide mentorship opportunity for a period of one year.
The Mentors will take certain commitments to fulfil mentorship responsibilities and subsidize CBA membership fees for eligible Young Lawyer Mentees for the program duration. Mentees will gain a beneficial mentorship experience and commit to active participation in the activities of the Section, including volunteering on Working Groups, Committees, and other initiatives and projects.
What’s in it for the Mentees?
The program will provide Mentees with guidance and support from experienced lawyers within the field of immigration law, and the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, and build a network within the Bar at the early stages of their careers. This program will help Young Lawyers further explore the profession and develop a rewarding career, as well as contribute to the CBA and to the Section’s valuable volunteer work.
The Sponsored Mentorship Program is available in both official languages.
